DevOps Engineer

The person in this role will work with project teams developing a modern data platform in an AWS cloud environment for a global pharmaceutical brand. They will work in an international environment and specialize in Big Data cloud architecture and the latest technologies in that area, as well as promote the principals of the DataOps manifesto.

Requirements

Familiarity with DevOps, in particular with the automation of tasks concerning: code delivery to environments (build, deploy)verification; code quality (static code analysis, execution of unit/integration/regression tests); monitoring of environments
Good knowledge of CI/CD, IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) building and development pipelines
Knowledge of the main AWS services - AWS CloudFormation (alternatively Terraform) , AWS CodePipeline (alternatively Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, TeamCity, Travis CI)
Good knowledge of Python and SQL
Minimum one-year experience with containerisation issues
Knowledge of and ability to use at least one scripting language (e.g. PowerShell, Bash) in practice for DevOps purposes
Ability to support teams in developing and maintaining the tools they use
Practical knowledge of English at min. B2 (C1+ preferred)
Basic skills in Windows/Linux operating system administration

Nice to have

Ability to work with AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Redshift
Experience in the DataOps area
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Elastic Beanstalk or Azure AppServices
Familiarity with Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, TeamCity, Travis CI
