Solution Architect

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building Business Intelligence, ETL/ELT, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Big Data solutions

Practical knowledge of various relational database engines (e.g. SQL Server/SQL Database, Oracle, PostgreSQL), as well as non-relational (e.g. MongoDB, CosmosDB, DynamoDB, Neo4j), data warehouses (e.g. Redshift, Synapse, BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake) and MapReduce frameworks (Spark, Hadoop)

Very good knowledge of SQL and Python (min. 5 years' experience)

Good knowledge of Spark / PySpark

Ability to design solutions for processing large volumes of data (multiple TB of data per day), including data processing optimisation techniques (partitioning/distribution, broadcasting/replication, caching, etc.)

Understanding of issues in the areas of: data governance, data quality, batch/streaming data processing

Hands-on experience with data services offered by AWS cloud (or other cloud and willingness to gain advanced knowledge of AWS services)

Experience in conducting code review and setting standards around data services

Independence, efficiency and responsibility for assigned tasks

Ability to design data models in a layered architecture (e.g. medallion architecture) and according to a multidimensional approach (Kimball technique)

Practical knowledge of English at min. B2 (C1+ preferred)

Advanced skills in the use of git repositories (e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub, CodeCommit)

Leading improvement initiatives in existing solutions and designing new solutions within the data platform framework - both as part of requests from the business side (functional changes) and from technology side (technical changes)

Coordination of architectural arrangements with Architects on the client side and other suppliers

Workflow coordination of a team of Data Engineers (responsible for the development of the data platform and ETL/ELT processes) and Data Analysts (responsible for the data model and the reports development) on the BitPeak side within the framework of multiple projects carried out in parallel for the same client; close cooperation with Project Managers

Optimization of the production process through process and tool changes

Ensuring the quality of the delivered solutions, conducting code reviews

Working at the fundaments of the solution as a Data Enginner and Data Analyst to stay up to date with the technology

Ensuring compliance with existing platform development standards, as well as setting and improving them when gaps are identified
