Data Engineer AWS

The person in this role will work with project teams developing a modern data platform in an AWS cloud environment for a global pharmaceutical brand. They will work in an international environment and specialize in Big Data cloud architecture and the latest technologies in that area, as well as promote the principals of the DataOps manifesto.

Warsaw Hybrid/Remote AWS

Requirements

Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Big Data, ETL/ELT issues supported by a minimum of 3 years of professional work experience
Very good knowledge of SQL and one of the languages Python, Scala
Knowledge of Amazon S3, AWS Glue (including ETL and Data Catalog), Amazon Athena, AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda
Practical knowledge of various relational database engines, as well as non-relational in the AWS cloud, m.in.: Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, Amazon DynamoDB
Hands-on experience with data services offered by AWS cloud (or other cloud and willingness to gain advanced knowledge of AWS services)
Very good knowledge of English (minimum C1)
Independence, efficiency and responsibility for assigned tasks

Nice to have

Spark, Databricks, Amazon Kinsesis
Delta Lake, Structured Streaming
Git repos and AWS CI / CD services: AWS CodeCommit / CodeBuild / CodeDeploy / CodePipeline
ClickUp, Jira, Confluence, Teams
Possession of specialized certifications in the area of data management (e.g. from Amazon, Microsoft, Databricks, Oracle)
